Sharing is caring
Dec 10th
This quote is quite famous in the netizen community. I’ve read some of Ashraf/Acap’s post about sharing. Yes, we do lack in sharing what we know with others.
Do we?
Most of the time, I want to say yes. Yes because we have so many obstacles and limitations to just share something with the community. Or, is it because we simply can’t get paid for it?
Blogging is one of the ways to share what you know with others. Anybody can get his/her articles published in the internet. By default settings, all blogs will be published in the search engines. Therefore, if you know about something, share it with the community.
Why I would share what I know?
We want to lead a better life. In my opinion, the more we know, the more efficient our work will be. So, it is good actually for us to share.
In Malaysia, the concept of ‘voluntary work’ has not surfaced completely yet. I don’t know if we have any open source code or a completely free software, backed by a group of experts continously working on them.
Anything else?
Recently, I had posted an article about mobile broadband in Malaysia. I am so grateful that numerous Google Search on this topic lead to my blog. I am happy to share what I know with others even though the information is not really comprehensive. If there is any misleading facts, do tell me. Im willing to correct it.
Celcom broadband vs NCCC
Dec 6th
I surfed the net and found out this.
A customer unhappily lodged a report against Celcom at NCCC. Initially, he didn’t realise that Celcom actually provide 5GB-per-month broadband service. In his report, he said that he asked the promoter whether it (the broadband package) is truly unlimited or not. Then the promoter said yes.
Then, after he encountered numerous ‘technical problems’ and tiring phone calls to the careline, now he realised he has been ‘cheated’ by the ‘unlimited’ tagline.
Poor him. he subscribed for the ‘Advance’ plan and encountered this problem. That’s RM98/month.
As on Monday, 24 November 2008, 1.00AM (GMT +8:00), Celcom still says we can do HEAVY DOWNLOADING with the so-called ‘Advance’ plan.
I don’t what else to say. I’m really hoping for a change now. Stop misleading customers.
